Fear The Wolves gets release date for Early Access on Steam – August 28th!

Press Release: Focus Home Interactive and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. veterans at Vostok Games are proud to announce that Battle Royale FPS Fear the Wolves will enter Steam Early Access on August 28. Combining traditional last-man-standing gameplay with PVE elements and unique radiation, weather, and endgame extraction mechanics, Fear the Wolves guarantees an intense, atmospheric experience in the decaying ruins of Chernobyl.

Fear the Wolves enters Early Access with an additional six weeks of development and testing in closed beta. With game performance and balancing now refined, it’s time for Fear the Wolves to be enjoyed by an even wider audience on Steam.

Vostok Games are keen to receive further feedback and improve the game alongside a growing community of players interested in the next evolution of Battle Royale. The first Early Access version already features the core gameplay and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. vibe, and there is much more already in development.

A new map and mode, more weapons, items, mutants, and weather – Vostok Games promise regular, large content patches, with a full plan of the update timeline available on the Steam page throughout development. The community will also play their part, with feedback welcome on everything from weapon balance to new ideas for Fear the Wolves’ unique weather and PvE systems. Further work on server and game stability will also continue for as long as needed.

Vostok Games are greatly looking forward to experiencing the game with the wider PC audience and getting to work adding to the Early Access version ahead of a full release in 2019.

Space Hulk: Tactics gets a release date and a Gameplay Trailer

Space Hulk: Tactics is a faithful adaptation of the board game Space Hulk, set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, bringing unique twists to the cult classic formula. The game will release October 9 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. To celebrate the news, we’re happy to unveil a new Gameplay Trailer pitting mankind versus alien in desperate, turn-based battle.

On the side of humanity stand the Space Marine Terminators, genetically modified super soldiers clad in heavy armour and equipped with extraordinary firepower that turns them into effective walking tanks. Opposing them are the Genestealers, insidious inhabitants of the floating amalgamations of smashed-together starships called space hulks, hiding inside every pipe and duct, prepared to rend anything that comes close to pieces with glistening claws.

An innovative new card system gives players greater control over their forces, while two non-linear, narrative-driven campaigns tell a new, terrifying story in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. A full customization system is available across four Space Marine chapters and four Genestealer Hive Fleets, letting you design your force down to the last shoulder plate or weapon hilt. A robust mission editor, inspired by the clip-together nature of building scenarios in the board game, means you can design, share, and play your own maps quickly and easily.

Space Hulk: Tactics comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 9. Pre-order Space Hulk: Tactics today on Steam and get special bonuses, including a 10% discount, beta access, and unique colour and emblem for each chapter and other variants.

The game will be playable for press at Gamescom 2018.

Roguelike 3D Space Shooter, EVERSPACE, Coming to Nintendo Switch

Hamburg-based independent developer ROCKFISH Games will present EVERSPACE™, a roguelike 3D space shooter and surprise hit on PC and console, to the public for the first time, as well as for the first time on portable console Nintendo® Switch™, at this year’s Gamescom in the Nindie Area at the Nintendo booth. The Nintendo Switch “Stellar Edition” release, which will contain the base game, the expansion, the EVERSPACE art book and the complete soundtrack with over 60 titles, is scheduled for digital and physical retail release in December 2018.

“Over the past four years we’ve managed to build a passionate community of sci-fi and space shooter fans, so we are delighted to recruit even more on Nintendo Switch”, said Michael Schade, CEO at ROCKFISH games. “Thanks to the fast-paced and easy-to-pick up gameplay, with comparatively short game sessions and automatic savegames, EVERSPACE is also a perfect match for playing on the mobile Switch console without losing long-term motivation. Players can easily pause the game and pick up right where they left off later when on the go.”

EVERSPACE is ROCKFISH Games’ debut title and was first released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, pre-financed by a successful kickstarter campaign in 2015. The two studio founders and games veterans Michael Schade and Christian Lohr, together with their 12-man team, the creators of the mobile games shooter Galaxy on Fire 1 and 2, were able to collect more than 420,000 EUR and sell more than 600,000 units to date.

EVERSPACE can be seen in the recent Indie Showcase section of the Nintendo Direct 20.08.2018 video, at around the 10:11 mark.

Survive the Darkest Depths of Green Hell When It Hits Early Access on August 29th

Creepy Jar, an independent studio made up of ex-Techland Warsaw team members (Dying Light, Dead Island, Nail’d), are excited to announce that their first-person, psychological survival simulator, Green Hell will be hitting Steam Early Access on August 29th, 2018! Set in the uncharted depths of the sweltering Amazon rainforest players will be challenged at every turn in a desperate quest for survival. From the harsh rainforest environment to its wild inhabitants, the player may never know friend from foe until it’s too late.

Upon the Early Access release, players will be able to dive into a full one half of the final map, encounter five dangerous and hostile creatures, and learn how to inspect their bodies for all kinds of wounds, infections, and parasitic nasties. Not only that, they can get a sneak peek into the Story Mode with a fully voiced over tutorial introduction.

Beginning its journey with a huge amount of content, Green Hell players can also look forward to updates containing new tribal enemies, cool new death animations, a water update introducing diving and fishing, and even more languages beyond the initial offerings of English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. Stay tuned for more updates on Green Hell’s development roadmap!

Key Features

  • Realistic Survival Simulator – Green Hell puts great focus on realism in both its world building and gameplay. Everything that is crafted or built is necessary for survival, and was consulted on with experts. The Amazon is not a typical forest; threats are literally crawling under your skin.
  • Psychological Thriller – Waking up in the middle of the Amazon with no recollection of how you got there or how you’ll get out, the hardest battle you’ll face is the fight against yourself and your weaknesses and fears.
  • Fully Alive Amazon Rainforest – Every effort has gone into recreating the lush world of the Amazon in painstaking detail. An exotic and dangerous place, this jungle is filled with many hazards beyond predators including toxic plants, illnesses and infections, all waiting to bring the player to their demise.
  • Body Inspection – Dangers lurk around every bend but they also live under your very skin. Paramount to your survival is checking your body for parasites, infections, and wounds. Take care or suffer the consequences.
